- Supports Fiduciary Tax Accountants through the analysis, validation, reconciliation, and maintenance of tax-related data used in fiduciary income tax preparation and reporting.
- Executes and monitors high-volume tax operational processes, including tax payments, electronic filings, extensions, and other tax compliance activities.
- Utilizes Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, and other technology platforms to analyze, update, reconcile, and manage large volumes of tax data.
- Performs data validation and quality‑control reviews to identify discrepancies, reporting exceptions, processing issues, and potential operational risks, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances reports, database queries, reconciliations, and analytical tools used to support tax compliance, workload management, quality assurance, and operational decision‑making.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual activity, and improve accuracy through process enhancements and technology‑enabled solutions.
- Partners with tax associates, Fiduciary Tax Accountants, operations teams, and technology partners to support process improvement, automation, testing, and implementation efforts.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, control requirements, and record‑retention standards.
- Supports the timely and accurate execution of fiduciary tax processes while adhering to bank standards, client service expectations, and applicable federal and state tax requirements.
- Assists with issue research, root‑cause analysis, remediation, and implementation of appropriate process or control enhancements.
- The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline, along with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in tax operations, accounting operations, data analytics, financial services, or a related field.
- Experience working with large data sets, relational databases, reporting and analytical tools, process automation, or tax-related systems is preferred.
