- Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partners.
- Review and approve expense requisitions and flag items outside budget parameters.
- Develop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reporting.
- Create ad hoc analyses and business forecasts.
- Support the accounting close process and audit reporting.
- Design and implement scalable processes and procedures for reporting key business metrics.
- Identify and drive cost reduction and process improvement projects.
- Work with cross-functional teams to meet financial and corporate goals.
- Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and Natera policy.
- Complete required privacy, compliance, and security training and maintain current training status.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VBA macros built from scratch, and lookup functions.
- Strong financial systems and business application skills, including database applications (Qlik View preferred).
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve moderate to complex financial issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting an R&D or Engineering organization is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects, interdependencies, and risks.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information within defined policies and practices.
- Remote USA role with pay range of $45 to $52 USD per hour.
