About the Role
As a contracted Background Investigator, you will conduct federal background investigations in accordance with government standards. This includes interviewing subjects and references, reviewing records, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring all work meets strict quality and timeliness requirements.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct field interviews with applicants, employers, coworkers, neighbors, and other relevant sources
- Review and verify records including employment, education, law enforcement, and financial documents
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports
- Manage your own schedule and workload as an independent contractor
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to federal investigative standards
- Prior federal background investigation experience
- Active federal security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- U.S. Citizenship required
