This position is a union position; therefore, provisions of the relevant collective bargaining agreement/labor contract apply to the filling of this position.
Position OverviewConducts hearings and participates in informal conferences on complaints arising under the law within area of responsibility. Assembles the evidence, prepares and presents the written complaint and all pleadings. After decision by the committees/boards, presents the committee's/board's written report of Findings and Recommendations to the Director. Recommends referral of unlicensed practice cases to be prosecuted by sister enforcement agencies to the appropriate county and presents the case to the State’s Attorney or Attorney General’s Office or other enforcement authority to institute criminal proceedings.
Prepares the Department Record and Answer in mandamus actions brought against the Department under the acts within area of responsibility. Consults with attorneys, members of the public, law enforcement officials, and other interested parties regarding the application of the licensing laws within area of responsibility and the Rules and Regulations promulgated there under. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
