Part-Time Scent Consultant

Position Title

Team Member/Scent Consultant for Chicago’s very own Pour-Your-Own Custom Candle and Fragrance Making Experience at AURA Candle Bar.

3338 N Southport Ave, Chicago — located in the Southport Corridor in Lakeview, just a 2-minute walk to/from the Brown Line at Southport Station.

Part-time positions available primarily on weekends, with occasional evening and required holiday availability.

AURA Candle Bar is a socially interactive, pour-your-own retail fragrance and candle making class experience bringing people together to explore and create with scent. We invite guests to custom-blend fragrances in our customer-'scentric' atmosphere.

AURA Candle Bar's elevated fragrance and candle making experience has been named one of the top Chicago experiences by Google, Chicago Modern Luxury, Enjoy Illinois, Things To Do In Chicago, YELP, WGN Chicago and Trip Advisor.

Individuals that presently have a full-time job and are looking for additional part-time weekend work in a creative atmosphere. Completed bachelor's degree required.

By contributing your resourcefulness and initiative, you are creating an intentionally calm space for guests to escape the chaos of daily life. From the initial greeting of guests as they enter the studio and guiding guests on their fragrance journeys to creating custom blends and knowing how to take exceptional care of yourself so that you can take exceptional care of guests.

We are seeking those who are integral and authentic in their overall approach to life, command respect and intention through knowledge, competence, and confident presence to contribute to the fragrance and candle making experience. We are highly interested in those who have life experience that complements fragrance. People from various backgrounds enhance AURA’s ability to serve those who visit the studio.

Note:

Custom fragrance blending training provided. AURA's ownership have been trained by the Grasse Institute of Perfumery located in Grasse, France.

• Pay starts at $15/hour: $25-$27+/hour with tips
• Living close to the studio is a big benefit
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment and lifting up to 45 pounds
