This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Esthetician (or Licensed Cosmetologist) role based in Chicago, IL. The Licensed Esthetician will perform a range of professional skin care services, including Brazilian bikini waxes, eyebrow shaping, threading, Korean lash lifts, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, dermaplaning, body waxing, facials, and light makeup application, and product recommendations tailored to individual client needs. Daily responsibilities include conducting cleaning and disinfecting work stations and treatment rooms, laundry, restocking supplies, and upholding strict sanitation and safety standards in all service areas and employee lounge areas.
The role also involves performing hair removal services, advising on at‑home care and products, and providing attentive, responsive customer service. The Licensed Esthetician will support sales of skincare products and services, participate in promotions or events, and collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
- Experience with Hair Removal techniques (e.g., waxing, sugaring, threading, or related methods) performed safely and professionally.
- Proficiency in Skin Care services, including facials, treatment planning, and product recommendations.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and communicate clearly with a diverse client base.
- Comfort with Sales, including recommending services, retail products, and treatment packages based on client needs.
- Current esthetics license in the state of Illinois and compliance with all state board regulations.
- Solid knowledge of skin types, common conditions, and contraindications, with the ability to adapt treatments accordingly.
- Excellent hygiene, sanitation, and infection‑control practices in all treatment areas.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent full‑time schedule, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset, with willingness to support colleagues and share best practices.
- Previous spa, salon, or medical esthetics experience is preferred but not required; commitment to ongoing education is highly valued. All skill sets are encouraged to apply.
