Overnight Pharmacist - Nights

Pay or shift range: $50 USD to $77 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

• Reviews, processes, and modifies, as necessary, all medication orders to maintain a current and accurate medication profile.
• Supervises, directs and reviews all activities involved with the compounding, storing, inventory, labeling, recording, or preparing medications by pharmacy technicians.
• Monitors drug therapies to evaluate appropriateness of use, dose, dosage form, regimen, route, therapeutic levels, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplication.
• Monitors the use of drugs for compliance with prescribing criteria, guidelines, formulary, and protocols established by Norwegian American Hospital.
• Detects, monitors, documents and reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Serves as a resource of drug information for all practitioners and patients (i.e. drug identification, side effects, adverse events, interactions, medication counseling, etc.).
• Participates in pharmacy quality assessment/performance improvement (QA/PI) projects and/or initiatives.
• Assures proper control, documentation, and record keeping of controlled substances.
• Ensures all state and federal regulatory requirements are maintain

Requirements:

Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy, Pharm D preferred. Consideration may be given to graduates of foreign colleges of pharmacy who are appropriately licensed.
