What you will do

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various eye conditions. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility and collaborate closely with our eye care team to ensure the best possible patient experience.

  • We are seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our Ophthalmology team who can perform most clinical skills. FA (Fluorescein Angiography) skills are a plus
  • Perform preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, and visual field testing
  • Obtain detailed patient medical history, including eye-related complaints, medications, and relevant health information
  • Administer specialized ophthalmic tests and procedures such as tonometry, keratometry, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, and pachymetry
  • Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations, surgeries, and laser treatments, ensuring patients are comfortable and well-informed about the procedure
  • Educate patients on eye care procedures, pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and the proper use and care of contact lenses or eyeglasses
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, test results, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform routine maintenance on ophthalmic equipment and ensure they are in proper working order
  • Assist in the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for eye surgeries
  • Collaborate effectively with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive eye care services
