Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising daily operations including daily log writing, food preparation, crisis intervention, facilitating program activities and ensuring program safety and integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Management- Know and comply with policies and procedures of Deborah's Place and the Programs.
- Communicate any problems or concerns about participants or day to day operations of program to Residential Manager.
- Communicate directly and effectively with other program staff and program participants.
- Ensure program and participant safety, security and integrity during designated hours.
- Work as part of a team to provide information for participant service plans and program reviews through mentoring, log writing and daily communications.
- Complete and submit required program and participant documentation in a timely manner. Organize and maintain program and participant files.
- Respond appropriately to internal and external emails in a timely manner.
- Facilitate groups and individual mentoring with participants.
- Clean bed spaces after participants move out; prepare beds spaces for new move-in.
- Completes and submits all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain required professional knowledge and job skills. Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings.
- Represent Deborah's Place mission and values to participants, tenants, visitors, volunteers and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Licensure and/or Certification: Food Handling and Sanitation certification and First Aid/CPR preferred.

Experience:
2-3 years of social service and/or residential program experience; - Special Knowledge &
Skills:
Knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness, mental illness and chemical dependency; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, effective oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, conflict management and crisis intervention skills; demonstrate clear and professional boundaries; act in a professional manner;
Valid Illinois driver's license preferred.
