Speech Language Pathologist – Part‑Time Outpatient

We are a rapidly growing pediatric therapy group dedicated to providing comprehensive care to children with communication disorders and related challenges. About Lumiere

Lumiere Children’s Therapy serves a diverse community of children with speech‑language, motor, emotional, sensory, autism spectrum, feeding, and social‑skill challenges. We employ an interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes collaboration across disciplines and family education.

Responsibilities
  • Address client’s needs and skill development.
  • Select and adapt the appropriate case‑specific speech‑therapy treatment model, method, and approach.
  • Apply interventions to maximize performance in all areas of need.
  • Provide Parent Caregiver Education.
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of short‑ and long‑term treatment goals.
  • Collect data and document processes followed.
  • Complete notes and all paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Speech Therapy (ST) licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • 1‑2 years of speaking‑therapy experience; candidates with Strong CF experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and team‑player mindset.
  • Belief in the profound impact of your skill set on children’s development.
Skills
  • Proven experience as a speech therapist.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy.
  • Hands‑on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with speech‑therapy evaluation tools.
  • Ability to work with patients of diverse personalities and diagnoses, including autism.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continue learning.
  • Professional behavior and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
