Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a night shift medical-surgical assignment in a correctional setting, requiring Illinois licensure and medication administration coursework.

Job Details

• Work in a correctional facility on a medical-surgical unit,

• Night shift, 5x8 hours, 23:00 to 07:30,

• Every other weekend required,

• Mandatory float to any unit within the facility or to other facilities within 50 miles as needed,

• Uses Cerner EMR system,

• Navy blue scrubs required,

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing,

• Current Illinois LPN license or ability to obtain two weeks prior to start (license required if applicable),

• Current CPR certification,

• Proof of completed coursework in medication administration (Pharmacology) per state standards,

• One year of recent clinical experience in an acute care or ambulatory care facility preferred,

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required,

Additional Information

• Must provide documentation of medication administration coursework at interview,

• Strict compliance requirements, including lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance,

• Free first-come, first-serve parking on site,

• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed,

• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on weekends, holidays, or immediately before/after holidays,

• Team-based support model utilized when floated outside primary area,

• Failure to float as required may result in contract cancellation,

• No exceptions to RTO or scheduling policy,
