. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
The Burn Program Manager is a Registered Nurse who possesses clinical expertise in the area of adult and pediatric burn patient population. This licensed health professional will take responsibility for leading and managing the programmatic functions of UChicago
Medicine’s Burn Center in conjunction with the care delivery team.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop, revise, and evaluate patient care protocols, policies, and practice guidelines that support burn patient care.
- Coordinate burn research initiatives and quality improvement projects in conjunction with the burn leadership team.
- Serve as a liaison in burn outreach/community awareness and prevention activities.
- Coordinate burn survivor and caregiver support group and the regional burn camp.
- Provide oversight for data entry and reporting of burn patient data into the BCQP Registry platform.
- Manage verification criteria to ensure the burn center meets expectations set by the American Burn Association.
- Assist the Surgical Service Line Director in strategic planning for the Burn Program in conjunction with the organization’s mission.
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Business or other health related degree. Bachelor’s in nursing required if Master’s degree is not in nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the care of burn patients
- IL RN License required
- Database management;
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
