As a Speech Therapist, you’ll play a crucial role in a multidisciplinary team, managing a diverse caseload and delivering personalized care to clients in their homes. Your work will help clients maintain their independence and continue enjoying the activities they love.
What You'll Do:- Travel to patient’s homes to provide meaningful therapeutic supports in context.
- Assessing, diagnosing, and screening language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborating with family, physicians, allied health team, and teachers to design effective treatment plans.
- Collaborating with the allied health team to create targeted group programs.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
- Using tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care.
- Staying up to date with developments in treatments with a minimum of 20 PD points per annum.
- Supervision of allied health assistant and students.
- Other tasks as directed.
- You have a passion for patient care and a commitment to professional excellence.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring a positive, proactive attitude.
- You care on providing excellent customer service.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in your field and are ready to take on new challenges.
- You currently work without any professional restrictions.
- You have a driver’s license.
