Phlebotomist

Job Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 5215 N. California, Chicago, IL.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am–5:30pm;
Wednesday: 10:00am–7:00pm.

• Perform medical tests at the point of care to provide immediate results for clinical decision‑making.
• Collect blood by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments, when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Interpret and record results in compliance with established protocols.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

$17.75–$24.50 per hour. All job offers are based on a candidate’s skills, relevant experience, applicable degrees, certifications, internal equity and market data. PST’s may be eligible for a PST Incentive Plan with a quarterly bonus.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Casual, PRN & Part‑time employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
