Compensation: $20/hr - $27/hr
Shift and ScheduleEvening Shift, Full Time
We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team! Support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital. Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.
Responsibilities- Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas.
- Assist Manager in the supervision of various aspects of the departments and collaborates with managers and supervisors to achieve the departments and SAH mission, goals and objectives.
- Participate in the interview process, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility Environmental Services personnel in accordance with facility standards.
- Orientate, train, and supervise all Environmental Services staff under span of control.
- Report unsafe conditions and conduct research to improve EVS technology.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate EVS activities.
- May serve on facility wide committee.
- Conduct daily rounding in all areas under your span of control.
- Schedule major project work, ensuring that adequate staff and supplies are available to perform tasks.
- Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments.
- Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and work with leadership on ordering.
- Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage
- Follow all SAH cleaning procedures and best practices
- Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
- Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
- Three to five years of experience in relevant field and Supervisory experience
- Appropriate clinical or technical competence in relevant area.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Communication skills (interpersonal and group, assertiveness, conflict resolution, etc.).
- Organization and planning skills (prioritization, time management, initiative, follow through).
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- Bilingual
