Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiovascular ICU - Chicago

• Rotating day and night shifts scheduled in 4-6 week blocks.
• 13‑hour shifts, averaging 6 shifts over a 2‑week period.
• Extra shifts (day or night) are available for those interested.

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Cardiac Surgeons and an in‑house night Intensivist.
• Deliver comprehensive care to cardiovascular ICU patients, supporting the post‑surgical and critical care continuum.

• APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification to be considered.
• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Cardiovascular ICU are preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide all aspects of care including acute care, well care and chronic care in the cardiovascular ICU for patients of all ages.

Nurse Practitioner:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).
• Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license.
• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center clinical privileges, as applicable.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Excellent communicator.
• Experience treating patients of all ages.

Physician Assistant:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center clinical privileges, as applicable.
• Excellent communicator.
• Experience treating patients of all ages.

Pay Range: $137,360 - $193,000

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for employees. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign‑on bonuses, and relocation allowances.
