Our ideal phlebotomist is patient, reliable, and commits to keeping donors comfortable and happy.

• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Work is performed in a plasma center. Exposure to biological fluids with possible infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment required. Work standing 6–8 hrs per day, bending and twisting for 1–2 hrs, frequent hand and foot movement, light lifting up to 15 lbs, maximum 50 lbs, sometimes squatting or crouching, walking up to 6–8 hrs.

Must have good hearing, color perception, near vision 20/30 and far vision 20/100 correctable in one eye, and be able to follow instructions orally or in writing.

Chicago, IL – Phlebotomist 2 – hourly pay $21.22‑$27.11. Eligible for up to 4% of the company bonus pool. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, up to 5% 401(K) match, and tuition reimbursement.
