Make a difference in the lives of K8 students as a contract school psychologist working in-person at two convenient locations in Chicago, IL. This engaging role offers the opportunity to support a caseload of 60 students, collaborating closely with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success both academically and emotionally.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology required
- Active, valid PEL (Professional Educator License) with School Psychologist Endorsement in Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years school-based experience as a school psychologist
- Strong alignment with core values related to equity, integrity, and perseverance for student success
- Persistent and intentional approach to supporting the individual needs of each student
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prevent, and support academic and social-emotional needs impacting students learning and social interactions
- Collaborate actively with school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS) to ensure timely evaluations and tailored plans
- Ensure compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS requirements, adhering to all deadlines and regulations
- Serve as a consultant and intervention leader for Tier 3 scholars, overseeing progress monitoring systems
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and participate in eligibility and planning meetings
- Request and manage confidential records from outside agencies with appropriate authorization
- Maintain accurate records of services, collaboration, and progress monitoring data
- Stay updated on best practices and share expertise through professional development and team collaboration
- Act as a liaison and content expert on matters of child development and learning disorders, providing information and support to parents and staff
