Symbria is seeking dedicated Physical Therapists to join our full-time Internal Travel Team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy variety, flexibility, and professional growth—while still receiving the stability and benefits of permanent employment.

As a Symbria Travel PT, you'll work across multiple settings within our organization, which spans 10 states, while receiving a competitive salary plus a monthly travel stipend.

Responsibilities
  • Review physician referrals and patient medical records to determine appropriate Physical Therapy plans of care
  • Evaluate patients' functional levels using approved assessment tools and clinical observation
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment programs to restore function and prevent disability
  • Deliver evidence-based Physical Therapy interventions using a variety of therapeutic modalities
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Nursing teams
  • Communicate treatment goals, progress, and expectations to patients, families, and care teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical and billing documentation
  • Reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and support productivity and staffing needs
  • Utilize provided technology to enhance documentation and patient care
  • Maintain productivity standards and comply with Symbria policies, Code of Conduct, and travel contract terms
  • Travel to assigned Symbria locations and provide your own transportation between assignments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Active Physical Therapy license in Symbria operating states, or ability to obtain licensure (including compact license eligibility)
  • Must hold a full license in state of residence if utilizing a compact license
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, observation, and organizational abilities
  • Customer-service driven with a collaborative mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred (not required)
Travel Assignment Details
  • Assignments are structured as 13-week internal contracts
  • Option to extend current assignments or transition to new Symbria locations
  • Monthly living stipend provided based on travel distance and location
  • One year of continuous travel assignments guaranteed
  • After one year, choose relocation assistance for a permanent role or continue as a travel therapist
