Substance Use Disorder/Intensive Outpatient Program Clinician

The Substance Use Disorder/Intensive Outpatient Program Clinician provides substance use disorder treatment services including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, individual counseling, and group therapy. The clinician works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team to support recovery, maternal wellness, and healthy family outcomes.

Clinical Services

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual counseling and group therapy services
• Facilitate relapse prevention and recovery-focused groups

Treatment Coordination

• Collaborate with case managers, peer specialists, and medical providers
• Coordinate referrals for additional services and supports

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record system
• Ensure compliance with DHS and program documentation requirements

Program Participation

• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Contribute to program quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Preferred.
• CADC credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing substance use treatment services
• Experience facilitating group therapy
• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of Illinois DHS regulations and behavioral health services.

Smart Goals

• Complete 100% of assessments within 48 hours of intake
• Maintain 90% documentation compliance
• Facilitate weekly recovery therapy groups
• Achieve 80% participant engagement and retention

Physical Requirements

• Ability to conduct therapy sessions for extended periods
• Ability to facilitate group therapy sessions
• Ability to use electronic documentation systems

Salary: $50,000 - $62,000

Occupational Risk for Exposure to TB:

There is an occupational risk for exposure to TB, as this position involves extensive community and patient contact. Employees in this role are required to comply with annual TB testing as part of workplace health and safety protocols. The only acceptable exceptions to this requirement are documented medical contraindications or religious objections. Employees who decline TB testing will be required to wear a mask when deemed necessary.
