Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our community-focused team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in alignment with our mission to enhance patient health outcomes through integrated medical care and innovative research. In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications, providing patient counseling and conducting drug utilization reviews while closely collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care strategies.

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure appropriate storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.
• Review physician drug orders and patient medication profiles to ensure correct drug selection, dosage, and treatment duration.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement effective patient care plans.
• Provide drug information and medication counseling to patients and families.
• Monitor patient drug therapies for interactions, contraindications, and other complications.
• Participate in rounds and clinical discussions, providing expert pharmacological insights.
• Assist in the management and resolution of clinical and therapeutic complexities.

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in using healthcare information systems.
• Effective communication and counseling skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Active Pharmacist License in the corresponding state.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS) preferred.
