Occupational Therapist – School Based

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the  school year.

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
• Illinois Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L).
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs.
• Successful therapy experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings.
• BLS/CPR certification.

Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location – Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset.

Contract through the school year – 14 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar. Part-time at two locations.

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Render competent care to patients.
• Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands‑on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.

$1,645-$1,715 per week
