Activity Aide
RYZE West is seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Activity Aide to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life of our residents by assisting with engaging recreational and therapeutic activities. Responsibilities- Assist with the planning and implementation of resident activities, including group programs, outings, special events, and recreational activities designed to promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-ness.
- Support the activities program by preparing materials, decorating activity areas, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for residents.
- Encourage resident participation and provide one‑on‑one engagement for residents who are unable to participate in group activities.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff through compassionate communication and active listening.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address resident needs, preferences, and interests.
- Transport residents to and from activities while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and documentation of resident participation.
- Ensure activity areas and supplies remain clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
- Participate in required training and education programs to remain current with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, or long‑term care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident‑focused.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to assist residents with activities and transport as needed.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre‑employment screenings.
