• Manage the dietary department's staffing schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations to ensure a motivated and competent team.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine individualized nutritional needs, adjusting menus and care strategies accordingly.
• Oversee budgeting processes for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality or nutrition standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate nutrition interventions, including health coaching and physiologically appropriate diet modifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, food safety protocols, inventory records, and compliance reports to meet regulatory standards.

• Current certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential from a recognized certifying body.
• Proven management experience within dietary departments or healthcare food services, preferably in assisted living or long-term care settings.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles relevant to diverse resident populations.
• Experience supervising staff and managing team dynamics effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with resident assessment procedures and care planning related to nutritional needs such as tube feeding or specialized diets.
• Ability to develop budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation while maintaining high-quality service standards.
