Support the care team by performing administrative and step in clinical tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Musthave a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
- This position heavily focuses on the admin side. An MA who enjoys more administrative tasks would be best suited for the role, with willingness to step in/cover for patient care as needed.
- Experience doing prior authorizations is a huge plus!
- Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).
Schedule:
Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Closed on weekends and holidays
Occasional travel to sister locations (Lincolnwood and Irving/Western) to provide coverage for PTO and absences.
As a
Medical Assistant
,you’llplay a vital roleinthe care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Manage referrals, authorizations, and work queue tasks to support provider orders and patient care
- Schedule appointments, perform patient check-in, and handle front-end workflow
- Communicate with providers regarding orders and coordinate follow-ups
- Proactively contact patients to complete labs and prepare for upcoming appointments
- Order and maintain clinic supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
- Provide flexible support by stepping into patient care as needed, including MA duties and clinical assistance
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
