Key
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years’ experience specifically within school settings.
- Current occupational therapy license in the state and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff.
- Organizational skills and self-motivation for managing services across multiple campuses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8, adapting plans to individual needs.
- Assess student performance and develop intervention plans that support academic and functional achievements.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including evaluations and progress notes, in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to team-based educational planning.
- Provide resources and training to teachers and families to promote generalization of skills in the classroom and at home.
This contract, part-time position offers flexibility, with 20 hours per week scheduled over two to three days, making it a great fit for professionals seeking work-life balance while maintaining meaningful clinical engagement.
