Blue Bird Day, a leading specialized intensive pediatric therapeutic day program, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinic‑based Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Chicago, IL. This is an opportunity to provide evidence‑based, play‑focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive.
About the RoleAs a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Blue Bird Day, you will provide physical therapy to children ages 2‑7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth through:
- Providing individualized and group therapy
- Implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
- Collaborating daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
- Competitive Salary: $56,000–$62,000
