Position Summary

The Director, Residential Clinical provides strategic and clinical leadership for all residential programs, ensuring alignment with agency goals and organizational values. This role oversees, coordinates, and manages all aspects of residential clinical services to ensure consistent delivery of high quality,
evidence-informed care. The Director ensures continuity of services across teams and shifts while upholding ethical, legal, and moral standards within a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards; guiding clinical model fidelity; supporting workforce development; and partnering closely with operations to maintain seamless client experience. The Residential Clinical Director actively collaborates with agency leaders to strengthen outcomes, optimize workflows, and reinforce a culture of clinical excellence across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
  • Licensed in IL as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or higher
  • Certified Addiction/Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent preferred
  • 5 or more years of clinical experience
  • 3 years or more experience in providing clinical supervision in behavioral health treatment
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices
  • Proven ability in program development and implementation
  • Ability to use and interpret clinical data
  • High level of professionalism, judgement, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop clinical talent
  • Ability to lead through change, build trust, and foster a positive, accountable culture.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in using common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

1. Work scheduled hours and any additional hours deemed necessary by leadership. On-call and some variation in scheduled hours may be required to meet company needs.
2. Oversee and manage assigned staff by conducting orientation and training, facilitating regular supervisory
meetings, and providing ongoing feedback, performing scheduled evaluations, and implementing
corrective actions as necessary.
3. Provide leadership in the development of annual goals for all assigned staff.
4. Serve as a liaison between Rosecrance and key stakeholders and maintain productive relationships.
5. Ensure all state regulations and Rosecrance Policy Procedures are maintained.
6. Complete all necessary monthly and quarterly reports by the appropriate timelines.
7. Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
8. Present workshops, lectures, and training to clients, families, staff, and community groups.
9. Facilitate team meetings and case reviews.
10.Manage all related contracts and complete monthly reports as required.
11.Maintain a reporting procedure to leadership regarding assigned program services, personnel, related services, and assigned projects and/or other duties.
12.Develop and maintain professional and supportive relationships with all staff.
13.Lead creative and innovative solutions to improve performance and enhance clinical competencies.
14.Deliver on-time expectations and constructive feedback to direct staff and others in a supportive and vision-enhancing manner; deliver performance feedback on a timely basis.
