Position Overview

We are seeking a flexible and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis in the Chicagoland area. This role is ideal for a clinician looking for scheduling flexibility while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse population. The PRN Physical Therapist will provide coverage for staff absences, fluctuating patient volumes, and expanded clinic hours while maintaining consistent clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and establish treatment goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes
  • Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise, and modalities
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain adherence to clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications
  • Doctor or Master of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments and patient needs
  • Previous clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered depending on setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, or rehabilitation settings
  • Flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations in the Chicagoland area
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Certifications in specialty areas (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling)
Work Schedule

PRN schedule based on clinic needs Weekday Flexible hours with no guaranteed minimum
