Clinical Supervisor (Adoption Support and Preservation)The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership and oversight for services supporting adoptive and subsidized guardianship families experiencing challenges that may impact family stability and permanency. This position oversees the authorization and management of services delivered by internal clinical service providers and supports the ongoing clinical development of community-based clinical program staff.
The Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, family-centered services designed to strengthen relationships, promote healing, and reduce the risk of out-of-home placement. Services may include individual and family therapy, caregiver education and support, advocacy, support groups, assistance with basic needs, and connections to community resources. Services are rooted in trauma-informed practices, including Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles.
This role also helps ensure ongoing referral sources and develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program goals and the needs of children and families.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions- Responsible for the development and implementation of program plans, ensuring on-going compliance with all licensing regulations, funding performance requirements, billing and contract requirements, and accreditation standards.
- Ensures timely assignment and coordination of appropriate level and type of evidence based clinical services provided by clinical service providers, proactively addressing concerns with all internal and external parties to support service delivery, and the well-being and safety of program participants.
- Responsible for the implementation of the agency's personnel policies and practices for staff within control unit. This includes hiring, appraisals, leaves, promotions, salary changes, terminations, documentation of all personnel actions.
- Supervises and evaluates assigned staff and the performance of their duties on a regular basis.
- Provides clinical supervision to unlicensed staff (which may include staff outside control unit) in individual or group setting.
- May maintain a caseload of community-based clinical services clients, providing comprehensive case management and a range of therapeutic services, for up to 10 program participants and their families.
- Ensures timely completion of accurate and compliant clinical reports, funder and program reports, and data entry that meets internal and external monitoring, funding, and accreditation requirements.
- Meets all Medicaid billing requirements for services provided, as applicable.
- Writes and maintains complete documentation of clinical supervision for each case in paper and/or digital form and meets all program record-keeping requirements.
- Provides individual and team case consultation.
- Responsible for monitoring and implementing the program’s continuous quality improvement process including reporting and tracking outcome measures, monthly statistics, ensuring documentation compliance, and accurate and timely reporting for external monitoring entities.
- Develops methods to enhance the quality of services and improve the ability of the programs to identify and address specific individual training and consultation needs.
- Works collaboratively across departments to ensure service delivery and funding and contract requirements.
- May provide mental health consultation to other Brightpoint staff members, as well as other agencies, systems, and community providers to coordinate services, make recommendations, and meet the needs of the participant(s).
