About the Role

We are actively seeking an energetic and creative Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our team, with a commitment to working every other weekend. Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership:
Implement scheduled group and one-on-one programs that foster social interaction and cognitive stimulation. - Resident Engagement:
Spend meaningful time with residents, assisting with mobility and encouraging participation in a long-term care setting. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor resident behavior, reporting key observations to the nursing team. - Coordination:
Work with the Activities Director to plan creative events and manage holiday decorations. - Logistics:
Set up and break down activity areas, ensuring supplies are organized and inventoried.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:
Previous experience working in a long-term care facility. - Training:
An artistic background or previous instruction from a Certified Activity Consultant. - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead group programs and work effectively both independently and as part of a group. - Physicality:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain a high-energy, fast-paced workflow. - Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Availability:
Flexibility to work full-time hours, including every other weekend.
