Your Mission

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) plays a pivital role in delivering specialized Adaptive Behavioral Support (ABS) therapy, including Early Intervention services, to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual or developmental disabilities. Reporting to the ABS Services Coordinator, the OTA collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess behavioral needs, deliver evidence-based interventions, and provide meaningful support to caregivers.

Through a combination individual therapy, group sessions, and caregiver education, the OTA promotes clients’ social-emotional development, sensory regulation, and functional independence. The OTA also contributes to community outreach efforts and fosters strong partnerships with external organizations to enhance client outcomes. This role is essential in delivering culturally responsive care, reducing service gaps in underserved communities, and upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Salary Range: $53,000 – $63,000/year | Full Benefits Package Included

What You’ll Impact

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and intellectual/developmental disabilities by helping them build essential skills for everyday success. Your work will directly support clients in improving their emotional regulation, communication, sensory processing, and functional independence. By collaborating closely with caregivers, clinicians, and community partners, you will help create supportive environments that empower clients to thrive at home, in school, and within the community.

Your commitment to culturally responsive, evidence-based care will expand access to high‑quality services for underserved populations and contribute to stronger long‑term outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the administrative and operational supervision of the ABS Services Coordinator and receive clinical supervision from an Occupational Therapist (OT), in accordance with applicable licensure and credentialing requirements, when conducting Behavior Assessment and Treatment Planning (BATP) and delivering occupational therapy services.
  • Work with the multidisciplinary team within the Department of Behavioral Health and Clinical Services (BHCS) and with external providers to improve the assessment and treatment planning to maximize the potential impacts of interventions per individual’s needs, developmental stages, and strengths.
