This role is fulltime and onsite in or near Maywood, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Direct ambulatory and alternate site infusion pharmacy operations across assigned market(s) and locations.
  • Support optimization and expansion of infusion services in ambulatory and home infusion settings.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve patient access, referral conversion, internal capture, and overall infusion program performance.
  • Develop scalable operational models and workflows that may be deployed across additional markets as systems and processes allow.
  • Partner with executive and operational leadership to align infusion pharmacy services with organizational strategic, financial, and clinical goals
  • Oversee performance of alternate site infusion services within assigned market(s).
  • Provide oversight of operational workflows, staffing models, scheduling practices, hours of operation, patient acceptance criteria, and patient access processes.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks limiting patient access, throughput, or volume growth and implement solutions to improve performance.
  • Support implementation of approved optimization initiatives and workflow redesign efforts.
  • Contribute to operational readiness for new infusion sites, service expansion, and alternate site of care strategies.
  • Provide oversight and guidance related to purchasing, inventory management, and pharmacy operational infrastructure.
  • Engage physicians, clinics, specialty providers, and internal stakeholders to support referral growth and increased utilization of infusion services.
  • Support initiatives to reduce infusion leakage and improve internal capture of appropriate therapies.
  • Evaluate provider engagement, referral patterns, ease of ordering, and site-of-care opportunities.
  • Identify barriers limiting provider adoption and recommend strategies to improve referral generation and conversion.
  • Assist with development and monitoring of key performance indicators related to operational, financial, and clinical performance.
  • Analyze performance data, referral trends, access metrics, and workflow outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective actions, performance improvement, and service optimization.
  • Support financial stewardship through labor optimization, efficient workflow design, improved reimbursement processes, and reduced leakage.
  • Assist with development, refinement, implementation, and adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
  • Support compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, accreditation requirements, payer requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
  • Support safe medication-use practices, sterile compounding oversight as applicable, and quality assurance activities within infusion pharmacy services.
  • Promote compliance with all operational, clinical, and documentation standards relevant to ambulatory and home infusion pharmacy practice.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to pharmacists, technicians, navigators, and other infusion support personnel, as applicable.
  • Operate under the direction of the designated executive sponsor and/or pharmacy leadership.
  • Provide routine updates, communications, and performance feedback to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison among pharmacy, patient, provider, clinic, and operational teams in support of infusion service performance.
  • Support onboarding, coaching, training, and development of staff involved in infusion operations and referral support functions.
  • Collaborate with nursing, finance, facilities, supply chain, IT, revenue cycle, compliance, and provider leadership to advance program goals.
  • Support planning and implementation of new alternate site infusion centers, including workflow design and operational setup.
  • Participate in interviews and selection processes for key infusion pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, as needed.
  • Support development and maintenance of patient and employee communication plans and marketing strategies related to infusion services.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and operational standards for existing and new infused therapies.
  • Assist with establishing monitoring frameworks for ongoing performance evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with on-site navigators to support site-of-care strategy across mutually agreed locations, including home infusion fulfillment through on-site home infusion pharmacy operations.
