Thrive Ahead Co is seeking a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to join our collaborative wellness practice!

About the Role

As a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, you’ll work directly with clients to support their nutrition and overall wellness while being part of a collaborative, integrated care team.

Your role will center on client sessions, while also offering opportunities to be involved in workshops, community outreach, and shared team efforts that reflect Thrive Ahead Co.’s mission and values.

  • Compensation: $45–$55/hour (direct clinical care & supervision), $20–$25/hour (administrative/indirect tasks)
  • Hours: Begins part-time with a clear path to full-time status
  • Location: Hybrid with at least 15 in-person hours/week (Bucktown, Chicago)
  • Reports to: Jenn Graus, LCPC and Practice Owner

Client connection, collaboration, and creative nutrition care. This means you’ll be providing 1:1 nutrition counseling, supporting clients from a non-diet and instead HAES-aligned perspective, collaborating closely with therapists and OTs, contributing to community outreach and educational workshops, maintaining thoughtful documentation, and participating in team meetings and shared projects that support whole-person care.

This hybrid role brings together individualized nutrition counseling, community connection, and collaborative care. You’ll support clients through a strengths-based, non-diet, and affirming approach to nutrition while working alongside mental health and occupational therapy providers to offer truly integrated wellness care.

Whether you’re meeting 1:1 with clients, co-hosting a nutrition workshop in our community space, contributing to educational content, or collaborating on referrals and care plans, your work will help clients build trust with food, nourish their bodies, and feel supported within a connected, values-aligned team.

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including medical history, dietary intake, and client goals

Develop and implement individualized, non-diet, HAES-aligned nutrition plans

Support clients in improving their relationship with food, including those with disordered eating, ARFID, and neurodivergent needs

Maintain timely, accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and care plans

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & EDUCATION

Lead or co-host nutrition-focused workshops, groups, and educational offerings within the Thrive Ahead Co community

Create accessible, evidence-based nutrition content for workshops, handouts, or digital platforms

Engage in outreach efforts to support community partnerships and visibility of nutrition services

Stay current on research and best practices in nutrition, wellness, and inclusive care

INTEGRATED WELLNESS SUPPORT

Collaborate with mental health and occupational therapy providers to deliver holistic, coordinated care

Participate in team meetings, supervision, and case consultations to support client outcomes

Provide referrals and coordinate with external providers as needed to ensure continuity of care

Contribute to a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and affirming clinical environment
