Salary:
The budgeted salary range for the position is $120,000 to $250,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

The Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine is seeking a full-time academic Clinical Chemist to join our exceptional faculty and serve as Assistant Director of the Laboratory Section of Clinical Chemistry. This is an open-rank faculty position. Rank and tenure will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and funding.

The Department of Pathology includes the divisions of Anatomic Pathology, Transdisciplinary Pathology, Research, and Clinical Pathology which includes Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, Hematopathology, HLA, Clinical Microbiology, and Molecular Diagnostics clinical laboratories. Faculty expertise supports strong clinical programs at UI Health in solid organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, neurology, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and more. Opportunities exist to participate and collaborate on clinical research.

The Department hosts an ACGME accredited Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program and several ACGME accredited fellowship programs.
