Participant Services Representative (Bilingual)

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims, providing accurate and empathetic support.
- Research and resolve benefit inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to identify root causes.
- Interpret and explain healthcare benefit plans, policies, and eligibility requirements to participants and external partners.
- Maintain and update participant records across claims and eligibility systems.
- Review documentation, verify information, and request additional records as needed.
- Coordinate claim adjustments, payment corrections, and reimbursement recoveries while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Explain medical, disability, life insurance, and weekly illness and injury benefits programs.
- Process stop payments, void requests, and other benefit-related transactions.
- Scan, index, and maintain documentation within electronic imaging systems.
- Collaborate across departments to support daily operations, cross-train, and improve processes.
- Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous call center, customer service, healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort handling confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
