Pharmacy Technician; Part-Time

Complete Rx is seeking a weekend part time Pharmacy Technician to provide exceptional patient care at South Shore Hospital; a 284 bed acute care hospital in South Chicago IL Looking for a part time opportunity to expand your pharmacy career This weekend only position is ideal for Pharmacy Technicians seeking greater flexibility during the week or valuable hospital pharmacy experience Youll have the opportunity to learn and grow in an acute care setting

Pay Rate 2100 per hour
2nd Shift Differential 165 per hour

Schedule Every Saturday and Sunday2nd shift 12pm 8pm

• Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders
• Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts OR carts and floor stock accurately
• Prepares sterile products including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition accurately
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately
• Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date
• Picks up orders requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds
• Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately
• Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting
• Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of employment practice if required
• Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification if required in the State of employment practice Where not required it is preferred
• Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred
