Garfield Counseling Center, Inc. (GCC) is hiring 2 CADC Counselors to provide individual and group substance use disorder counseling to clients enrolled in our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), including clients receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT). You'll conduct assessments, build treatment plans, and coordinate care as part of a supportive clinical team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO- Provide individual and group counseling to an assigned caseload of OTP clients
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and apply ASAM criteria to inform level-of-care decisions
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans with clients, medical staff, and the Clinical Supervisor
- Monitor client progress, including engagement with medication-assisted treatment
- Coordinate care with GCC's Medical Director, nursing staff, and case management team
- Respond to client crises with appropriate intervention, safety planning, and referral
- Facilitate psycho educational and process groups on relapse prevention and recovery skills
- Maintain audit-ready documentation consistent with IDHS/DBHR and CARF standards
- High School Diploma/GED required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred - Current Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) credential through IAODAPCA required
- Prior experience in an OTP, MAT, or similarly regulated treatment setting strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ASAM criteria and medication-assisted treatment
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements under 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA
- Comfortable working within an EHR system for documentation and billing
This role is based in a clinical office setting, facilitating individual and group sessions in person, with some exposure to clients in acute distress or crisis.
