Overview

RUSH Physical Therapy is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic full-time Lead Injury Prevention Specialist / Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team supporting a fast-paced airport hub/distribution center at Chicago O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity for an athletic trainer, exercise physiologist, EMT, PTA, COTA, or individual of a similar background.

This dynamic role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance overall employee well-being.

Position: Lead Injury Prevention Specialist/Work Strategies Specialist

Location: Chicago O'Hare International Airport - 10000 W O'Hare Ave, Chicago, IL 60666

Type of Environment:(ex. manufacturing, aviation)

Schedule: Full-time, weekdays (3am-11am)

Compensation: $50,000 - $53,000, annually, based on years of experience

Responsibilities
  • What will you be doing in this role?

    • Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits
    • Conduct movement assessments and develop preventative exercise programs
    • Engage with new hire employees on education, ergonomics, and injury prevention
    • Deliver return-to-work program for employees returning from injury
    • Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees
    • Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience
  • CPR certification
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
  • healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong communication skills (orally and written)
  • Bilingual
