Roamers Therapy is a private practice in Chicago, which was built on our understanding of how hard it can be to find a modern & down-to-earth therapist.

We provide individual, couples, child, adolescent, and family therapy services and work particularly well with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and interpersonal stressors. We take a trauma-informed, evidence-based, LGBTQIA affirming, and culturally sensitive approach to therapy to help our clients achieve mental well-being.

We are specifically seeking a Spanish- and English-speaking clinician who can independently provide psychotherapy in both languages. Professional fluency in Spanish is required for this position; conversational proficiency alone is not sufficient.

We provide a thoughtfully structured work environment for our clinical team members with minimal administrative overhead.

We strive to meet our clients' needs and preferences to our best ability as a trauma-informed practice, so all new provisionally licensed clinicians will be expected to have in-person availability on all workdays to provide both in-person and telehealth options to our clients. We also see telehealth as an invaluable option to serve our clients who prefer attending their sessions virtually for any reason (e.g., distance, preference, schedule), so our physical offices are designed and decorated for conducting both in-person and telehealth sessions comfortably.

Provisionally licensed clinicians at Roamers Therapy provide evidence-based individual, couples, child, adolescent, and family therapy services to clients in our outpatient practice offices located in the South Loop and Lakeview neighborhoods. This position includes providing psychotherapy in Spanish and English based on clients’ language preferences. They treat a range of presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, relationship issues, race and ethnicity issues, self-esteem and trauma, while keeping each client’s unique identity and desired goals at the front and the center.

We also expect clinicians to submit their progress notes within the same calendar day, attend at least one-hour-per-week individual supervision, contribute to our psycho educational outreach efforts, pursue professional development, and be an active participant in our team meetings.
