Anuco Home Health Care LLC is looking for a detail-oriented Home Health Coding and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. This is a critical role where your expertise in medical coding and quality standards will directly impact patient care and operational excellence. Responsibilities- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for home health patient records and OASIS assessments
- Review and audit clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of OASIS data submissions and clinical records
- Identify documentation deficiencies and collaborate with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies
- Monitor and ensure compliance with CMS home health guidelines, conditions of participation, and payer requirements
- Generate QA reports and provide feedback to clinical teams to support continuous improvement
- Stay current with home health coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), HCS-D, or equivalent home health coding certification preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in home health coding and/or quality assurance
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and OASIS documentation
- Familiarity with CMS home health regulations, PPS, and PDGM reimbursement models
- Proficiency with home health EMR/EHR software and coding tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
