The Health Data Scientist in the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery conducts evaluations and service research studies, developing innovative research designs for data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to clinical operations. The position analyzes descriptive and service utilization data from vendors and service providers using statistical software, interprets complex data relationships to inform recommendations, and serves as project leader on larger initiatives.
Keyqualifications:
- Four years of college with courses in statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics, or related fields
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in development and application of research designs and statistical methods
- Professional experience interpreting multivariate, correlational, and descriptive analyses of mental health services
- Proficiency with statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS, TOAD, or Crystal Reports
- Experience developing and testing complex research designs and verifying computer program validity
