Description:
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and empathy.
- Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits using online tools or by contacting insurers directly.
- Educate patients about insurance coverage, estimated out-of-pocket costs, and financial assistance options.
- Administer financial assistance programs.
- Submit and manage prior authorization cases and follow up to resolution.
- Accurately document patient interactions and follow-up activities in the billing system.
- Obtain and manage required documentation while collaborating with Revenue Cycle and Customer Success teams.
- Build positive relationships with patients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- Associate's degree required.
- 1-3 years of relevant healthcare or patient access experience.
- Experience in a high-volume call center or patient-facing healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical benefits, insurance policies, coordination of benefits (COB), prior authorization workflows, and payer requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
