Compensation: $20.50/hour
The Front Desk Supervisor assists the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager, providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests throughout their stay. The role also involves maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Qualifications- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field;
High School diploma or equivalent required. - College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate and select among courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress, handle guest objections and disputes satisfactorily.
- Proactive in job performance, anticipating needs before they arise.
- Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Effective problem-solving skills, including anticipating, preventing, and resolving issues.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt accordingly.
- Active listening and understanding skills.
- Ability to work with financial information and perform basic arithmetic.
- Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with guests and associates.
- Maintain regular attendance and high standards of appearance and grooming.
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Set standards for guest relations at the Front Desk.
- Handle reservations, VIP requests, and monitor guest requests.
- Review daily logs and execute all phases of the front desk system.
- Ensure timely logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail.
- Be familiar with all rates, packages, promotions, and in-house groups.
- Follow all credit policies.
- Perform all duties of a Front Desk Agent.
- Ensure proper operation of the P.B.X. system and other duties as assigned.
- Lead and coordinate with team members, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Assist in emergency procedures and ensure guest check-in/out is courteous and efficient.
- Maximize room revenue through merchandising.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training.
- Perform additional duties as required, including training new hires.
