We’re hiring a Housekeeping Inspector to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park!

Job Summary: Inspect and complete assigned section of guest rooms to ensure adherence to company standards and quality guest service.

The Details: Position Type:
Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.15 per hour

Schedule:

Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

• Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
• Provide exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability through quality of work.
• Inspect daily, entire assigned section (guest rooms, linen rooms, hallways, grounds, etc.) to ensure cleanliness, safety, and condition to meet or exceed standards.
• Report condition and status of guest rooms to Front Desk efficiently and timely.
• Maintain and uphold all company policies; assist in the development of assigned employees through training and performance enhancement.
• Report to Executive Housekeeper on the performance and/or behavior of the employees assigned to the inspector.
• Assume duties of a GRA when necessary and carry out duties of any assigned inspector shift.
• Control keys, master, and guest room keys, and maintain security of all guest rooms, occupied or unoccupied.
• Enforce safety regulations and provide a safe working atmosphere for self and staff.
• Communicate effectively with Executive Housekeeper, Front Desk, Bell Attendant, maintenance, and other departments and guests.
• Participate in programs designed to further professional growth and development.
• Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies and procedures (safety, risk management, environmental).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of rooms and hotel layout including The Grand Hotel property, and ability to convey information to guests.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial position.

Physical Requirements

Constantly:
Stand and walk

Frequently:
Handle, reach outward and above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Occasionally:
Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and may work nonstandard hours.
