Salary Range: $70,000–$75,000 Annually

Position Overview

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and Forbes Five-Star guest service.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, coaching and developing team members, maintaining exceptional guest room standards, and ensuring daily departmental objectives are achieved efficiently and consistently. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with a passion for luxury hospitality and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize, assign, and delegate daily room assignments and cleaning responsibilities to the Housekeeping team.
• Provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to housekeeping associates to ensure daily operational goals are achieved.
• Interview, hire, onboard, train, and develop housekeeping team members in proper work procedures and luxury service standards.
• Supervise daily operations and monitor team performance through routine guest room and public area inspections.
• Coach, mentor, counsel, and conduct performance evaluations for housekeeping associates.
• Ensure all guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet Forbes Five-Star cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Plan and conduct departmental meetings to encourage communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Attend operational meetings and communicate important updates and departmental information to the housekeeping team.
• Participate in the hotel's Lobby Greeter and Manager on Duty programs, including weekend coverage when assigned.
• Assist Room Attendants and House Persons in securing supplies, equipment, and resources necessary to complete daily assignments.
• Monitor the safe handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals while ensuring compliance with Haz Com and hotel safety standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree with an emphasis in Hospitality preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience in hotel housekeeping required.
• Experience with in a Forbes-rated or luxury hotel environment is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, sanitation standards, cleaning procedures, and chemical safety.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and compliance with safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first approach.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Basic mathematical skills and experience preparing operational and financial reports.
• Ability to accurately use hotel computer systems and departmental software.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Additional language abilities are strongly preferred.
