Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 / Hourly - Contract to Hire

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, HYBRID 2 – 3 days onsite

Job Description:

The People & Culture Manager leads the daily operations of the People & Culture team, ensuring efficient management of benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and team development initiatives. This role reports directly to senior leadership and oversees a small HR operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily People & Culture operations, including benefits administration, learning programs, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
  • Supervise and develop HR Operations Associates, fostering team growth and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely benefits administration, including healthcare, retirement plans (403B), and leave management.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, updating policies as needed.
  • Support performance management processes such as goal setting, reviews, and feedback cycles.
  • Lead HR-related projects and initiatives, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on benefits, leaves, and HR policies.
  • Generate reports and documentation for audits and organizational assessments.
  • Partner with leadership to reinforce company culture and values across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
  • 5–7 years of experience in HR roles, with at least 3–5 years in management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, benefits administration, and employment law.
  • Experience managing high-volume onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with HR software (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
