Overview
Helen Plum Library is seeking a detail‑oriented and people‑focused Human Resources Generalist to support the day‑to‑day operations of a collaborative and community‑focused workplace. This role participates in recruitment, onboarding, payroll and benefits support, employee relations, and compliance, helping ensure a positive and supportive workplace for all staff. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and committed to supporting employees while advancing the Library’s mission and values.
PrimaryResponsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Coordinate core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, and personnel records
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and employee leave tracking
- Serve as a resource for staff and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records and support compliance with employment laws and Library policies
- Assist with HR projects, performance review coordination, and process improvements
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, payroll, or benefits administration, preferably in a public sector, municipal, or library environment
- Full-time
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday-Friday; occasional evening or weekend hours as required
- $62,631-$78,289
- $78,289 is the midpoint of the pay grade. Starting at or above the midpoint is reserved for candidates who exceed the minimum qualifications and have significant relevant experience.
