Position Description:

We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to recruit top talent across North America while also supporting HR operations that keep our teams engaged, informed, and thriving. This isn’t just about filling roles for us, it’s about building relationships and shaping the future of our team. In this role, you’ll recruit across departments and levels, managing every step of the process from the first hello to a successful start date.

You’ll partner with hiring managers to understand their needs, craft creative sourcing strategies, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. You’ll also collaborate closely with the HR Business Partner for North America, playing a key role in building our team and strengthening our overall culture and employee experience.

We believe that we’re better together. Our team is hybrid and requires applicants to live commuting distance from a Blueair office (NYC or Chicago Loop) and be in-office Tuesday-Thursday.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for multiple departments and levels in North America.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job postings.
  • Source candidates creatively - from networking and referrals to targeted outreach.
  • Screen and interview candidates, ensuring every interaction is professional, timely, and engaging.
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and keep hiring processes moving efficiently.
  • Extend offers and guide candidates through the decision process.
  • Lead smooth, welcoming onboarding experiences for new hires.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, policy administration, and benefits coordination.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in organizing training programs, performance reviews, and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Partner with managers and the HRBP to address employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Jump in and help wherever you’re needed - we’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means pitching in on projects outside your usual scope.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4+ years of combined experience in recruiting and HR generalist functions.
  • Proven success hiring for a variety of roles across departments and levels.
  • Strong sourcing skills with the ability to engage passive candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with candidates and employees.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS tools.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to work independently.

Pay: The base salary pay range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per year. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
