Position Summary

The People & Culture Manager-Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts across specialized insurance functions, including Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, and IT roles. This position provides strategic talent acquisition support, partners closely with business leaders to deliver hiring outcomes aligned with organizational growth objectives, and may oversee recruiting resources, processes, and external vendor relationships. The role operates at a senior level with significant discretion over recruiting strategy, candidate selection, and stakeholder engagement.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for entry-to-senior level and complex roles across insurance functions
  • Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, sourcing strategy, and candidate profiles
  • Develop and maintain proactive pipelines for specialized, high-demand insurance talent
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders regarding market conditions, compensation expectations, and talent availability
  • Manage candidate experience from sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding
  • Lead and/or support recruiting team members, including workload management, coaching, and performance oversight
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and vendors, including performance monitoring and cost control
  • Track and report recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and pipeline conversion
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all recruiting processes and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase recruiting efficiency and effectiveness
  • Participate in workforce planning and hiring strategy discussions
  • Support employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
  • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion recruiting efforts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting required
  • Strong understanding of insurance talent markets (Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously
  • Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary range for this position is $130,000-$140,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and location.
